I have the same "problem" and I found out why. I will try to explain, maybe it will help you.

I'm French so they use a French company to deliver the phone once it will arrive in France and I found out the tracking number they provided me is the one used by that French company.
17track.net actually displays status linked to that tracking number, hence why it didn't change since the 17th of January because its status will be updated once the parcel will be taken in charge by the French company (so once the phone will be on the French soil).

But if you ordered on Gearbest for instance, you can click on "Track Your Shipment" then on the "View Tracking Message" button, it displays the status of the parcel from China to the destination country before it's taken in charge by your local company.

Here is what I get :

2017-01-17 20:21:08 Parcel Data Received
2017-01-20 14:52:39 Parcel received at OWE Shenzhen Sorting Centre
2017-01-20 15:00:16 Parcel departure in Shenzhen Sorting Centre.
2017-01-22 04:48:00 Parcel is leaving Hong Kong Airport

Etc.

A so they use some company that might not be the old national postal carrier in your country, that might be a good reason why nothing pop up using the tracking number.

Hitting track order just bring you to 17track at Banggood.

I have ordered it on January 17th on dx.com, it´s been shipped out today. I´m not sure when it´s going to arrive. Probably 2-3 weeks to Europe.

That other tracking site dont have any information on the 3 tracking numbers i have for things in route to me, and 17track do have info on two of those numbers, only the one for my phone is still not working anywhere.

Banggood didnt ship my phone yet and i ordered the 5 jan ... Customer service said not before the 2nd feb ...

Weird i ordered on the 4, and i have gotten mail saying it shipped.
But maybe BG only got a small number of the phones they sold under the 60 dollars off deal.

I would assume they was at least shipped before the 25 of January as thats what was promised by UMI in the special first 10.000 deal.

Okay 17track just came alive in regard to phone

So this is the longest i have seen a parcel get underway, but it is not unnormal it take some days before that happen with free shipping from out there, but a whopping 10 days is a new record.
Just happy it seem like it got launched before CNY
