once again, let me express my huge thanks for  ...

Hi
Today servers are overloaded. So please try tomorrow. Very simple updating guide is here
http://community.umidigi.com/thread-11-1-1.html
But in step 6 is mistaken so please check preloader box.
If you make some mistake you can always come back to any Stock ROM you want so don't worry.
Windows xp, and Vista are easy to install vcom driver.
On windows 7,8,10 is small bit harder but you can follow instruction from here
http://community.umidigi.com/for ... thread&tid=5776
If you follow step by step everything will be fine.

Hi MarcinP.

Many thanks for your availability, it is really precious for me.

I tried to make the procedure on a windows 8.1 machine, but actually I got some problem installing the mediatek driver..
I tried many, and I followed the guide for windows 8.1 that I found here
https://thebroodle.com/android/i ... vers-windows-8-8-1/,
but everytime I get an error code 10 at the end of the installation, and there is no way to make the phone reconized by the system, even when I open PdaNet, with debug usb activated, no way to connect the phone.
I am getting a little bit frustrated, because I tried several times with no result, and actually I have no windows xp or vista to use, so it looks like I can't figure it out, but probably it was only an hard day and tomorrow things will go better!

I will have a look at the link you sent me and try another time for today
Once again, all my regards to your valued help

Hi guys,

just wanted to write a couple of words to thank you all for spending time to help me fix this trouble

Yesterday finally I ve flashed the device with the original firmware, following your instructions and everything worked fine, I also made the wipe cache partition and factory data resect and I was really happy to have figured it out but... the flickering is still here..

Later I made also the update to firmware and once again the restore to factory data but here I am..

Nevermind, It was good to try and I earned something new, so I am happy with that, and for the phone I will contact the support and ask how they want to move on!

Just wanted to write a huge thanks, and wish you the best for the new year!!

Hi Paolo
Will you try knock or shake phone when this issue happens on your device. Or just when you are on setting page then knock in to phone try from each side and let's what happens. I just wondering is this software or hardware problem because maybe there is poor contact somewhere and cause this issues.
Could you tell me which software number you have now?
Settings - about phone - build number.

Hi MarcinP,

Thank you for your question.
Indeed I am starting to believe it is an hardware problem.
Yeaterday I ran a GPU/CPU test and it found Almost 200 errors in GPU.
I know the app I used is not eligible as a "reference test" but the result made me start thinking about an hardware problem.
Aldo, if I shake the phone or if I scroll the page, the jittering fixes forma a bit.

I really believe it depends on the video card..
Do you know if there is any certified app I can use to test it?

Thank you again for taking this care

Hi MarcinP,

Thank you for your question.

Hi
I think that currently is no accurate testing app on play store etc. as this cpu is the latest p type cpu on market.
GPU is part of CPU as this is SoC type. I was just thinking that there could be poor contact or loos connection.
I wish advice you to try use SPFT and flash whole ROM to wipe error in case is something there.

Hi MarcinP,

thanks for the reply, indeed I was wondering the result of the test was not that accurate, referring to the hardware of this phone.
Anyway, I've used SPFT and flashed the ROM twice, first time with the last release 20161227, but nothing changed. Than I tried to flash it with the stock ROM 20161211 doing updates later, to perform a clean installation starting from the very beginning. In both cases I also performed the wipe factory data from the root menu (it was in chinese language, but I found that the string with eMMC is the one to wipe factory data, is it correct?) but nothing happened, so I was wondering if you mean there is something else I can do. In case it is so,could you please be so kind to explain step by step what else I can do to try to fix this problem?

I've made a search on google+youtube and I found the noise I'm experiencing is a kind of jitter.. don't know if it might help finiding a solution

Many thanks again, your help is really appreciated

Hi there i am an electronics engineer and after reading through your dilemma it sounds to me like a hardware issue of some kind, like a dirty ribbon connection from your motherboard to your screen terminals. Either way i think it is time you sent it back for a replacemrnt as it looks as though you have just been unlucky here. Good luck
