A friend of mine did the same (playing games while charging his phone) and his battery got swollen as a result. I would not recommend it.

People need to understand what i mean. I doesn't mean that speaking in phone or playing games while charging, i mean when you a get a important call, remove the charging cable and speaking and playing games without charging, i can feel the damn heat in my hand which is pathetic.

I have other phones which has fast charging but never gets heated (already discussed in other threads but Umi or other people never agree and says its lower chip version or some shit) and i have got UmiPlus E which doesn't heat up at all so i can clearly say that its a design problem in Umi Plus which i think they rectified in UmiPlus E (people can still say its 6GB RAM which i dont agree)

Dude, are you serious??????

ofc it will get heated, even if just charge the phone without ...

Dear mmiz you need to agree if there is a problem in phone rather than telling that do not complain.

If there is a problem Umi need to to rectify so people can buy their next product. If they dont do that people will stop using Umi products

UMi phones are very stylish phones. The fact that they generally stop working after a few months should be a discouragement from buying one.

My phone also overheats and the batter has swollen up to 4 times its size and looks like it is about to explode. Just a warning to all: Do not take your Umi phone on board an aircraft, the risk of the phone exploding of catching fire is far too great.

UMi phones are some of the most stylish phones on the market. The brilliant UMi engineers bring out a new UMi every month or two.

My phone matches the style of my Italian business suit and the back cover of my UMi phone matches the color of my American Express Centurion Business Charge Card. The color and style of the phone matches my hand made Italian leather shoes. At business meetings my business partners often comment on my phone and how it compliments my clothing, it even compliments my Louis Moinet Magistralis watch.

I have had the phone for 11 months. Unfortuneately it stopped working about 3 weeks after I purchased it. I managed to upgrade the ROM and it kind of worked for a few more months and now the screen and the battery have stopped working. But none of that matters, My UMi phone is so stylish it just doesn't matter that it doesn't work.

Complain about UMi products? How dare he!

Edited by mmiz at 2017-1-31 16:25 \n\nDear sskanth999 and skinny, we all know that chinese phones are like a russian roulette, and u knew that before buying a UMI Phone(Chinese Company), so stop complaining about things that u knew before u buy it, happened to me also, i took the risk, and c'mon guys what do you expect for a cheap phone with great specifications, and i'm still saying to you STOP COMPLAINING
I had problems with my phone, and i admit it, luckily i solved them, and i don't care, i'm still happy with my phone.
Even big companies like SAMSUNG or LG had a lot of problems with their phones too, the only minimal detail is that you pay like four times the price of a chinese phone to get the same specs.

I agree with you mmitz on how we should NOT be complaining because our UMi phones dion't work. I never bought mine to actually use to talk to people with. I bought it because it matches my business suit and watch. I bought it for style and sophistication. I don't have any friends so there is really no one to talk to. Neither do I have a facebook page. No one would go to it anyway.

But, what is UMI's business model? It appears very strange to bring out a consistant run of what appears to be really faulty engineering. OK, I understand mistakes can easily be made but why are UMI doing their very best not to help their customers? OK UMI, you win, you suckered me into buying one of your phones, I'll admit I'm a sucker, you win, congratulations! Does that make you happy???

I thought that business was all about customer service these days - doing your best to satisfy and KEEP customers. Customers that will come back again and again and buy a UMI phone. Just like people do with iPhones.

Now how long would it take one of your engineers to go through the forum and try to help some of your customers? A few hours - a day? But you go on creating more and more phones all with similar problems.

Come on UMI - wake up. Your business model is like something out of the `1950's. This is 2016. Do yourself a favour UMI and just this once help your customers. I promise you'll make more money.

My phone heated up so much that my touch stoppen working, while playing and charging. Had a hard reset done but nothing worked. Started to work after 1 day being switched off.

Yesterday, after about a month it happened again. This time I have a flickering display with the image for shut down in the background as an overlayed picture. My phone works half an hour and then the touch stops working again. Have to switch it off and wait for an hour again to have it work again.

I wasn't even using the phone, it was switched off and charging this last time. I suggest you use a normal charged to avoid this issue. I will have to start a complain as my phon is only 3 months old.

Will post a screenshot as soon as it works again.
