YouTube video 1080p60

Hello,
I notice that our umi super is not able to play 1080p60 video at 60fps. Those video are played only at a maximum resolution of 480p. Is it a problem of YouTube app or is it a problem of our device (missing video codec)?

Finally you replayed properly at the end it is a problem of the phone.

This thread can be closed. - Its a fault with the MTK chipsset just like elephone p9000 - Youtube app is unable to play 60fps video with this SOC for some reason.
Also this forum member is extreamly rude.

Thanks a lot. Only you could clarify the situation. I found this video 1080p @60 fps and it plays correctly so I confirm the issue. It is a fault of YouTube.

Nevertheless, 1080p@60fps videos should be played back at 1080p but with 30fps. The YouTube app often have difficulties at identifying the playback device, that can cause such unwanted limitations. We can expect from the developer of the YouTube app to resolve such issues.

1080p Video plays fine on the UMI Super .
Can you post a link of the video you are trying to play ?

Anyway it is a video at 1080p WITH 60 FRAMES PER SECOND it is not a standard 1080p. Normal 1080p works fine. Moreover with the Umi Iron Pro and with a Honor 7 it is possible to watch that video at 1080p60 fps.

Youtube app does not support 60fps.

you can view 60fps in your chrome browser or any other browser on your phone  just dont open it through the you tube app.

I never said you were stupid.. you did.
MTK chipset the UMI Super uses is exactly the same as the Elephone p9000 - That phone currently has issues with playing 60fps also.

The youtube app has a problem with supporting the MTK SOC.

Engineer or not, your still asking for help.
