Hi,

Settings /sound and notification / sound enhancement

Then make sure everything is off.

Open play store and install a graphic equaliser of your choice, I went with 'equalizer fx'  it's free.  Then when you run any music playback like deezer or Google music make sure under setting of that application is using the recent install of 'equalizer fx'

Hope that helps.

@Beatertech - Thanks for your reply. I already have all sound enhancements turned off. My issue is not with the music, it is with the volume when in a voice call. Will the equalizer help with that?

@Beatertech Thanks a lot for listing all those out! Unfortunately it has made no difference to the volume level on my voice calls. I'm now wondering whether my phone has a hardware fault I will contact the supplier.

Ok, another method you could try is to go through each one of those menues and put in the highest value available on the headset PGA and the UL gain and press 'SET'  - There is so many of them you will manage to increase the volume. -( there will be a maximum setting so dont worry about killing your device)

Its frustrating that this is still an issue with the device, the dev's should have increased the levels in the last OTA.

I set all the UL GAIN and SIDETONE GAIN values to their max for "Hardware testing > Audio > volume > voice" and it made a small difference, but not enough. The volume for calls is still too low.

Do the "Hardware testing > Audio > volume > AUDIO PLAYBACK" settings impact voice calls? I increased those as well as suggested but that made the volume on Music/YouTube etc really loud and didn't make a difference on the voice call volume, so I've dropped those back down now.

Done it.

Agree the the sound quality is cleaner and better with a higher volume and no enhancement!
