I have posted a lot here on how bad and inconsistent I have found the 4g reception on the Super.

Today I used my GPS for the first time. It was terrible!

Had considered taking the phone apart but can't see why I should. I have emailed TomTop to request a return

Hello;

Its just to give you an idea how to open them you dont need to stripdown all the phone. Just the battery cover and the uper little one cover. Its on the back of the upper little one cover, that Antennas are installed. They are 2 little pieces of metal smashed on the plastic upper cover. With a precision knife as an X-act kind or other, you put it up , this pieces os metal, up a little bit to allow them touch the hardware once you close this upper cover . Simple !

Looks like Umi is a bisness that somenone running from a laptop at home and delagating all services to thirdpart compannies!

So when one of those incubed from delegated services fails, special the industrial assembly line process, there is nothing much to do !

This is the only picture I could find of the inside of the UMI super.

The antenna connectors are at the top.

If anybody is brave enough to have a crack at this let us know how you get on!

I have not tried gps navigation yet, just gps test apk and ther was fix really quick even in the house.

Both videos are for other models and not for UMI Super.
