No... so many people have this issue, it simply can not be a one-off problem with that certain phone. I experienced the exact same issues, the GPS accuracy is awful.

If you want I can check how many satellites the phone can see, and place an other phone next to it and see if there is a difference. Just let me know.

We don't know how many users suffer from this issue. Those who have no problems, don't come here to tell it.
Yes, if you mean to share a photo showing the two phones together, that would be useful.

bencebacsi, on the other side lots of users don't use GPS

my UMI Touch GPS works, but it is not very accurate compared to my X5 pro.
When using Waze in my car, regulary the speed is wrong for a couple of seconds (by more or less 10km/h).

The 2 phones are on my desk (indoor) :
X5 : 10/13 satelites
Touch : 18/22 satelites

BUT : latitude and longitude sometime change on the Touch (not on the X5) and i swear that my desk don't move

On UMI Touch i get 4 metters accuracy and can't use any Navigation app becaus is always jumping around!!!

Yes I also have the GPS problem and the fingerprint problem.  Fingerprint has never worked on any finger - NEVER.  I have just installed the latest FOTA update 20160510 (this is my 3rd FOTA update) and fingerprint scanner NEVER recognizes any of my fingers. Not once.  Fingerprint seems to register OK.  I even register the same finger five times and still its never recognized when I try to unlock my phone.

GPS is completely useless for Google Navigation (or Waze).  Like other found, my position will be accurate for a few seconds then jump to say 100m away then jump back a few minutes later.  Navigation often stops for 30 seconds and it is so slow to update Google Nav is totally unusable.  Using GPS test app, satellites keep appearing and disappearing. I have had many android phones and this is the first one where GPS is totally useless.

I think there may be some faulty UMI Touch phones out there that a lot of us have received.

I have contacted my reseller regarding the GPS issue and send it a video showing that the GPS fix is taking too long and when there is a fix it's 30 meter accuracy while using another phone (LG G2) the fix takes a second and 2 meters accuracy.
The reseller asked me to send back the phone and get a new one instead.

Dear users,

We don't know how many defective devices was spread out on the market (maybe ten users reported such issues here) but the reason is surely some kind of hardware defection at some single devices.
If there were a bug in the software code, then all devices would be affected.

Here are two (off-line, only the GPS receiver was used) navigation runs recorded by me a few days ago:

If your specific device provides something worse quality at navigation, you should request a replacement from your reseller. The GPS module has an integrated antenna, its working is not affected by the assembly quality of the bottom antenna module.

Regards,
Bence

Maybe you should ask the users with the defective GPS their serial numbers so you can track the problem. I for instance bought mine in the pre-order campaign.

Sorry but that's beyond my responsibility. Resellers could collect such data.
