It works properly on the S5 Pro. Probably your ADB connection was not successful, you made a mistake somewhere.

Thanks for this info worked great on my S5 pro.

Any chance of getting something similar to disable wake when the phone is lifted as this option is not present in the default menu settings

Hi, I had that option off but the screen would still wake on movements or picking the phone up but I found the way to solve it, you need to use ADB with the command adb shell settings put secure wake_gesture_enabled 0

It wasn't working for me until I found out that the problem was the version of abd I was using. I downloaded the latest version from the official android developers website and it worked perfectly.
