I'm currently running the Bliss Rom GSI that can be found on XDA. I'm on T-Mobile in the USA and everything is working very well with the exception of VoLTE and VoWiFi, which both work on the stock rom.

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me the files (APKs, bins, overlays, build prop, etc) that I may need to copy over from the stock rom to get these features working? I'm in an area where 2g & 3g fallback is pretty poor and it results in a lot of dropped calls.

I much prefer the custom GSI roms, but I really would love to get those features working, if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks

I'm tempted to give it a try, since I'm having issues with the phone calls volume and looks like a bad configuration of some kind.

Apart from that... How is the general feeling of the phone compared to the official ROM?

Just to verify.. is this the thread to get that ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com ... ect-treble-t3917284 ?

I never actually used the phone with the stock rom, mostly because I read that people seem to be having issues similar to yours. I booted up just to unlock the bootloader then immediately started trying GSI roms.

Again, can't compare it to stock, but most GSIs run very smooth. Bliss is one of the best I've tried. I don't really have a single issue other than the lack of VoLTE and VoWiFi that I mentioned. Makes it a bit difficult to use as an actual phone, but as a smart device it functions very well.

Here is the thread with all the GSI roms

https://forum.xda-developers.com ... -device-development

You can follow the instruction from the link you provided and make sure you are downloading AB versions of the roms.

Thanks a lot.. I'm going to wait until Umidigi comes up with a solution, if not, the phone goes back.. along with a bad Amazon review, not because of the hardware problem (that can happen) but because the lack of support (that's unacceptable). Don't want to risk unlocking it, having a ROM installed and having to return it.. i am ok about rooting and changing roms under my own responsibility when things are working in the first place, unless there is a way to go back to the stock rom after testing this other one.
