Ads, airpush ads, about ready to sell S2 Pro on ebay :(

So after a couple of days with the phone I suddenly (probably from Umi app updates, idk) get lock screen and full screen ads, the type from airpush ad networks. This happens even after doing a factory reset of the phone, with no other Google Play apps installed. I think it is from the battery charging app which i am not able to uninstall. I am disabling Umi Appstore autoupdate and Google Play autoupdate, I am disabling "draw over" permissions in Umi apps, etc, in hopes of crawling out of this HELL. If I can not solve this I will do a factory reset of the phone and sell it on ebay and never again buy a phone from China (I will just buy a phone in USA, from KNOWN BRANDS like Asus, Samsung, Huwaei, which yes sometimes are made in china but if sold in major stores in USA they do not system apps that inject ads and worse onto the phone).

Anybody else experiencing this on their Umidigi S2 Pro? Solutions?

Dont worry, there is an easy way to get rid of:
- put all app stores you dont need to the "freezer" app
- go to settings --> apps and remove from Touchpal all permissions, especially for notification
(you can do this also for all apps you dont need)
- do the same in settings --> rights management

Thank you. Yes all that and then some, to be safe. it was annoying as f&ck to even reset the phone and then see the full page lock screen ads, but with the steps you describe, and more (as I discovered researching on the internet), I think I am taming the Umidigi phone so it is clean of ads, or airpush pushed ads, and have some nice replacement apps for Contats, SMS messaging, Browser, etc.

In the end, once the adware is destroyed (deactivated, cripped), the Umidigi S2 Pro is a damn nice phone for $300. I just do not want to pay $800+ for a Samsung Galaxy S8.  I was able to get 3-4 DAYS of battery life on the S2 Pro which is utterly amazing. I am hoping the phone is now clean of adware. I will know more in a few more days of testing.

You should make a video tutorial on youtube on how to do it, there many people that dont see this forum, it would be helpful for others.

\n\nI have modified the rom basic and I have eliminated even more applications.
I added access to the MTK engineer mode, the android mail application and fixed the bugs in the camera's bokek mode.

I am not a fan of the aesthetics of the Galaxy S5, but I hear you. If the umidigi s2 pro comes back to haunt me in the next few days after all the tweaking if have done to it to disable adware, I *will* sell it and just go back to using my ASUS Zenfone 2 (just put a new screen on it yesterday).
