S2 android 6 also could be umi os based on android 6 . S2 Pro android 7 or umi os.

Will it be possible to update Umidigi S2 to Android 7 and Andriod 8? This information is very important to make a decision to buy it or not.

6 gig ram makes almost no differance, it is all about that most people are thinking  more ram is bet ...

The main difference between the iPhone and Android phones is the optimisation, that's why an iPhone is faster using less RAM. The number of GB of RAM is important, but so is the frequency of RAM, if it is a faster ROM and so on.

As I said android 6 currently is for S2 but umi os based on A7 is in plan.
But I know nothing more so far.

For S2, they will not update to 7.0 if the phone comes with Android 6. (They said this yesterday through the youtube channel on a livestream). It will have security and bugfix updates, but just this.

The second batch of S2 will come with UMI OS 7.0 and they said nothing about android 8.

The S2 Pro will be shipped with UMI OS 7.0 and no word about update to Android 8.
