I've flashed my Umi Iron using SP Flash Tool with the 1.5 Rom. Since then, Rootjoy doesn't recognize my phone. And the USB transfer speed is awfully low.
You have to install the good vcom drivers to solve your rootjoy problem. Try to find the post from Bencebacsi with the dowload link on this forum. The usb speed is a common issue that we hope will be solved in the next update.
Unfortunately the slow USB issue has not been resolved yet. That's promised by the next update. If you could flash your phone with SPFT, then you've probably installed the appropriate VCOM drivers. However, you have to call the developer options and enable USB debugging again. Have you done that?
Yes, sometimes the windows adb drivers can freeze, so restarting your PC might help. Anyway, you should check at Windows device manager if your phone is present as an adb device.
I have restarted my PC many times. Nothing new here. Even ADB doesn't recognize my phone. And it only appears for less than 1 second in the "device manager". I don't know what to do, I'm fed up with this phone. How can a company be so negligent with their product's design ? That's preposterous. Does anyone know of a phone that would approach Umi Iron's spec and price but does ACTUALLY WORK ? I think I'll try and get a budget for another phone. I'll NEVER BUY A UMI PRODUCT AGAIN.
Actually you're the only one who came here with a such issue. Slow USB, clicking noise etc. are known problems but not this one you're suffering from. You should try another computer and another usb cable.
