Hmmm... well I don't believe UMI's response about hardware limitation not supporting band 20, especially as the ROM on NeedRom.com has enabled it... I'm able to connect to O2 4G quite happily now, and that is 800Mhz ONLY.. and Qualcomm's own literature states it supports ALL LTE bands.

So, I wouldn't hold out on them telling the truth on anything else.

Here's the only emax mini ROM on needrom
s7yler created two video reviews about the emax mini but he mentioned only the missing b20 LTE support.

I have a TCL M3G phone. If LTE band 20 works in Umi emax mini then it will be possible to make it work on TCL too.

1. The official specs of the emax mini doesn't mention the b20 LTE availability. Only one user claimed that until now.
2. The TCL M3G still might have a different baseband as that's the case at UMI eMax and TCL M2M too.

Great phone.. great value!

However, I did buy this devices based on an article Id read saying it would be shipped with 5.1.1 and have CM 12.1 availability, so I am a little disappointed, but as long as the latter is not a hollow promise, then Im happy to wait...

No interest in 4g whatsoever, so band20 doesnt bother me...
