Help with Umi iron please

Help! Spftool just download DA and after that there is no response, and then it just give me timeout error 1042! I tried all, please help!

Which version of driver and SPFT do you use? A user reported that, the volume-down button has to be pressed while you connect your phone to USB.

I use SP-Flash-Tool-v5.1532.00! And I hold power + volume-. Because without that it didn't connect to spftool.

Without an Iron in hand I'd suggest you to screw off the back cover, remove and replace the battery, then try again without button pressing. The battery power should be at least about 30%. I've already flashed hundreds of different android phones with SPFT, but that always worked without pressing any of the buttons. Some phones get to meta mode if you connect them with pressing the vol-down button, but that's not the applicable state for flashing.

Used S5 USB and all OK!

I'm glad to know that you could solve your problem finally. A bad contacting cable can cause such problems, but that's weird if anyway you can establish a normal USB connection with the original UMI cable.
