Do you really believe that Beta does exist? I would not count on that.

I just treat that as a possible option. To believe in things is not my habit.

After some observation I found that, all of those TCL M2M lollipop firmwares just ported ones, not official releases. At least they have some skilled fans who are able to do that. Maybe that's because TCL phones are sold on the Chinese market but not the UMI ones. So, TCL probably can catch some Chinese users who are closer to the MediaTek empire.

I googled the name of the one who uploaded the TCL Vanilla Lolipop and I found many entries on chinese smartphone websites. Maybe someone who understands chinese could try to contact him/her. If we got luck he/she can help us.

Maybe the most tools and posts about TCL M2M are on this site. Just try to find a developer over there.

New hope from UMI by today news.
UMI has provided a video about a running lollipop.
Jump to YouTube. Yet unsolved issues are listed. Don't be surprised if you're familiar with that list.
As a representative said, a special team is working on this project only. UMI has not given up.
Uff!

P.s.: I requested but no download is available.
P.s. 2: For home developers: UMI's actual development is based on the KitKat kernel.

Good to hear they are still working on it after all. I'll be patient.

Well well well!  Can't say i'm not amazed but seems miracles might be achievable after all.    But the 4 bugs they have are pretty crucial in my opinion anyway. If they dont solve those, all it would be is a very sophisticated pocket calculator

Well it looks different from the Beta they released long ago, but the bugs seems to be still the same.
What did you mean by that the actual developement of UMI is based of the Kitkat Kernel? Do they try to port the drivers from Kitkat to Lolipop? I'm just asking out of curiosity.

About the kernel I just shared the info I got from UMI. So I just think that they're tríing to port the kitkat drivers.

Oh, a new hope! So I am waiting more, do not update to V05.
The Lollipop functionality and theme on KitKat kernel is good for me, if that will work well.
