I am wondering when did phone users say, this phone are too thick ? and what is too thick and why is it that way ??
To me personally that's not really something i think about, only related to this thinning of phones should be the weight of the devise.
To me the key words are.
Security of the devise, This should be high on the mind of every user.
The durability of the devise, i expect a phone to last me at least 3 years.
And finally the support of the devise, this should also be big on the mind of people, just throwing away and buy a new is a failure.
I mean ever since the iphone first started this smartphone stuff and even before that, people have to a large degree been carrying their phone in the same way, and i am not aware that pockets have become smaller, but phones are becoming larger ( not in thickness )
Sure the way you use a smart phone Vs a old style mobil phone are different, but again there are only one or two ways to use a smartphone, and to my knowledge neither of those are really impacted much by phone thinness.
My bet is most smartphone owners own devises with at least 50% more compute power than they will ever need.
Sure if you use your phone for some of the silly stuff that you are told you must be able to do and do often, things like gaming, i mean come on if you cant sit still for 20 minutes without breaking out the phone and use that to kill time, then i am sorry you are a sad person.
I am sure the medical world will come up with a name for this in the future, ATM i just call people like that for Digital Junkies. |
