5.  Update the security patch (currently it's June 5).
We only updating security patches if any of security was broken by hackers. We didn't get any security issues on current patch.
This is a joke, right? Every month there are critical security bugs being fixed by Google, critical means remote code execution. If you wait for news about security bugs being exploited activly in the wild, it will be too late rolling out security fixes.
Please, release monthly updates including latest security fixes, its the most important thing to be done. There is no need to update to Android 9, just release security fixes to 8.1 as long as they are released (supported) by Google.

Apart from above, i am very satisfied with this device

I would like (maybe I'm not alone) to add scheduled on  ...

Indeed, I have an 4 years old Oukitel, and it has already that feature, which is good for a quiet night and it helps to elongate battery usage

I think that update automatic start apps (whatsup, viber, etc.) was not made systemically, because (as I wrote before last update) in developer options I turn off every animation scale for faster system response - still not working after last update... If I turn OFF it, after restart phone is ON again...
Camera very laggy, cannot control flashlight in photo mode... I compared phone with Xiaomi Redmi S2 - everything working smoothly, camera starts quickly etc...
I believe UmiDigi company wants to be such a successful company as Xiaomi ... Hardware and design is fine, but tuned software make big differencies between this companies...

Apologies if this has been answered in the 16 pages, I've had one good idea elsewhere, but can anyone recommend a wireless charger for the One Pro? I've been told Umidigi's owni one gets a bit hot.

The One pro I am using, and I posted everything here. About the One, I do not have it so I can not tell what features will or will not work. Personally I like the descendent OneDotFive GSI.

Thanks for the link. I'm also using Umidigi One Pro (Android 8.1 Oreo) "How to have your /data partition decrypted (you will loose all your files and settings at first to decrypt it)" Which of both options worked for you. I tried the option (editing fstab.mt6763) several times but it never worked. Are you flashing through SDCARD? That's what I tried, but it still failed. An I couldn't anyway access files from interenal storage. Thanks

Comments

If you want your partition decrypted for backup just root your phone with magisk, install twrp, flash the zip file in option 2 with twrp and wipe data with twrp. (encryption_userdata.zip)  Post time 2018-11-29 06:45

And Option 1: When I try to wipe data partition, there is an error. And then when I restart the phone it fails to boot so that I have to reflash the srock rom using SPFT
