Are there any future updates coming to fix most of the issues? Do you have a date (example: about 2 weeks)?

  • Please flash this ROM with SP Flash tool in firmware upgrade mode, then setup your phone as a new device, don't restore any earlier backups.
  • The translucent notification panel is requested to be restored. Wait for the next update.
  • You can clear all apps on the top of the screen. It's the Nougat method to avoid unwanted app closings.
  • PDAF focusing, Bokeh mode, Super Night mode, 3D photo all are Imagiq DSP based features.
  • Sorry but disabling the flash LED at 15% battery won't be changed

Hello,

This update in Nougat/version 7 went very badly:

Please flash directly this ROM with SPFT but then after the first reboot, setup your phone as a new device, don't restore a saved state.

Most of the issues reported here can be fixed by flashing this ROM as a clean installation (all partitions flashed), without keeping or restoring any saved app data. "Most of" doesn't mean all, of course.
You can expect the next update to be released in less then 2 weeks.

Usually these forums usually have about 5 paguinas, this update has 14 paguinas of problems and follow, you ask me to tell you the problems of my update, that would be to do your job.
To know the problems generated by the update only read the 14 pages of this forum and you will see that there are many problems.
If some are fixed with SP Flash Tool and others erasing all backups and starting from scratch the mobile. Is that your solution? Not all people have an adequate level to work with SP Flash Tool or enough knowledge to hack the phone, I think you should offer an apology to everyone apart from a simple solution.
Well let's leave the subject of reproaches and wait for those two weeks that you say for the patch with solutions, I just hope that this time you do well.

Hello,

That's exactly what I did: I never tried to restore backup, I rsetup again the phone from scratch, as if it were new.

In view of all the comments I read on this forum: please accept that your Android 7 firmware is unstable and causes the phone to reboot without reason regularly.

Sincerely.

If you like such statistics, you should compare only those threads where the first version of an Android upgrade was published (57 pages at UMi Super), also considering the popularity of each model, plus many other factors. So overall, such statistics maybe don't really make sense.
Sorry but I cannot analyze a specific device and rund tests on it remotely. So in many cases but still just in a fragment of cases, I can recommend only to create a clean installation with SP Flash Tool. Using that tool is quite simple but if that's still to complicated for someone, he can choose to return his device for the seller to make it repaired. I suggest you to get through on this thread again, and you'll see that, beside the many positive feedback, each complaining user has reported different or at least not perfectly the same issues or something that's not really an issue, 'Do not disturb' mode while in call and the black notification bar, for example.

(Probably) unlike you, now I really got through on this whole thread and only one other user reported random reboot issues. I don't know whether he flashed his phone or just OTA updated, but later he disappeared. Moreover, we cannot reproduce your issue, although some of us use UMIDIGI Z phones as daily drivers.
Your phone should be examined by a skilled repairman. I'm sure I could find the source of the issue of your device by proper testing but not remotely.
As a final experiment, I recommend you to format the flash chip of your phone (or flash this ROM with the Format All +Download option) to make the nvram partition cleaned. If you do so, then you have to restore your IMEI numbers with the SN Writer Tool.
