I had a Zopo 999 which has a plastic back with the GPS antena attached. It initially worked but later became totally useless. I suspect the contact with the antena progressively got loosened. That was the reason I chose UMI Super.
I have not experienced any problem with the GPS which I used to drive to and from work so far. The satellite check has showed up 5 to 6 satellites. I live in UK and use a paid Sat Nav system called Sygic and can confirm the system works perfectly as I can see the car moving slowing all the time while driving.
On the 4G signal I have no problem either. I say this relative to my Zopo 999 which I have used in USA, Canada, Austria, Malaysia, UK and Hong Kong. I have yet to test the UMI Super overseas but I got not issue with it. I have a BT sim card using the local 4G network which I could access both at home and at work. My home is at the border of the 4G network so I can see the signal occasionally drops but that is on par with my previous Zopo 999.
Battery drain is more of a management issue to me but UMI Super with a 4000Mah last a lot longer than my Zopo 999 with a 2700Mah battery which is replacable whereas UMI Super isn't. UMI Super does have fast charging. I run a 200GB MicroSDXC card so it drains the battery fast whenever I use the data inside with thousands of photos and videos. If I am careful with the App and avoid leaving them in the background the battery lasts a lot longer.
That is my verdict for having the phone for about a week. Overall it has proved a good buy. |
