New settings are permanent until factory reset.
Maximum values which you can add are 252.

Re: Increasing Audio Voice Headset Volume on a UMIDIGI A1 Pro Smartphone
Did you actually Reset the UMIDIGI A1 Pro smartphone and then recheck whether the new UL Gain values were actually retained? Or is your answer an assumption? I own two UMIDIGI A1 Pro phones and after either a Reset or Power off, the UL Gain values (for NB, WB, SWB) go back to their original default values. Yes, I entered them correctly, clicking SET and OK. And I tried this several times.

MarciinP,
Do you have your phone set to Developer mode or did you do something else that is special? After a Power Off/On or a Restart, my 2 UMIDIGI A1 Pro smartphones always revert back to the original UL Gain values NB=160/WB=164/SWB=164. I had set the UL Gain values to 180/184/184 and after a power cycle they went back down to 160/164/164.

I Powered these smartphones Off/On with both Wi-Fi enabled and Auto-update enabled. Might that be causing the reset? Did you have Wi-Fi enabled when you tested?

If another user has feedback on this issue, please post your experience. Thanks.

MarciinP,

UI tuner and developer options are on on mine device.
Wi-Fi and mobile data are always on too.
I would perform factory reset or flash complet ROM with firmware upgrade mode on. Please set to 252 because i used those values.

I have ordered this phone to my friend. I was thinking myself to get Z2 SE / One Pro... but I am not sure about this anymore as this is what I got after charging the phone and installing a few apps (facebook, messenger, maps, weather apps).
How this can be fixed and how this can be prevented?

Hi.
1. Please clean screen around light sensor and adjust auto brightness sensitivity.
2. Please  ...

After the update to V2, on my phone
*#*#3646633#*#*
no longer goes to Engineer Mode.
Instead it brings up MTKLogger.

Hi,

Yes, I have the same here too. Is there an alternate method to enter engineer mode?

*#*#3646633#*#*
now takes us to MTKLogger.
Previously it was used to enter Engineer Mode.

A New Benefit:
It appears that MTKLogger settings can disable unnecessary logging to the folder mtklog.

Question: What is the new V2 code for Engineer Mode?
