This is how not to manage a company ... 101...

I do own a company and i DO NEED ALL MY CLIENTS!

UMI seems so far off, they don´t even realize that they are killing the confidence on the brand this way...

How come since the release of that crappy firmware update in 16-06-2016, that nobody didn´t know anything more about UMI plans for the SUPER...

Is this company running with MORONS on the helm?

There are so many CHINESE company now fighting on the SMARTPHONE space selling to Europe and the US, that if UMI don´t wake up, it will go down and nobody would give a shit...

I for one im pretty pissed... have here 2 SUPERS that don´t work well, and a ROME X that runs better then the SUPERS!!!!...

Its... a Bird.... its a plane.... NO ITS A UMI SUPER GOING TO A WALL....

Best Regards,

LPC

@menirules The problem isn't worrying about the update it's that we all paid for $200 phones and instead were all made unpaid BETA testers for a faulty product. If everyone invoiced UMI for the hours they owe us for BETA testing their latest product they would likely go bankrupt!!!

OK like, what do you expect?
If you want  a full tested device with no (or at least very few) bugs and fast customer support then you should not buy a so called China Phone.
Most oft this companies do not even have a customer support or a community and never updating the Firmware.
After overheating problems with HTC and battery issues with my Samsung and nobody cares about, i am totally OK with a Bad camera and some Software bugs for a phone i payed less than 180 Dollars instead oft 600.

Totally legit standpoint, that I fully agree with.

Of course, there are bugs and issues that need to be worked on by UMI and I'm almost sure UMI's devs are doing just this in the background.
But you didn't pay 500-800€ for this phone. You paid 180€! For this money build quality and specs are top notch nevertheless (admitted, the software is immature).

Everyone schould remember this, before spamming the forum on a daily basis with complains and issues that are already known.

In my perception, UMI staff, e.g. bencebacsi, did take notice of the reported issues. But have a look at this forum: there are like 10 threads on exactly the same issue! Wtf... Why don't people use the search function or invest some time in scanning the forum for their issue before opening another thread?..

A new issue has raised its head for me .... I'm getting no notifications at all for the last couple of days for anything (gmail, Facebook, Twitter etc etc) when there are things happening on them that should generate notifications.  I haven't changed anything and have tried rebooting.

Oh and Google Fit crashes a lot too

The screen refuses to re enable more than half the time, and when it does it gliches out and crashes or any number of strange anomolies, if I wanted to try and use a brick for phonecalls I would have gone out and bought a brick!! and be guaranteed to get what was promised when the purchase was made
If I was to expect a 'China phone' which tbh sounds subversively racist but let's ignore that for now, then I would expect said phone to not advertise itself in a way that fails to list 'this phone may work as much as 30% of the time if you're lucky congratulations on trying to support an up and coming name on the market that doesn't seem to be deserving of competing on the same market as major brand name manufacturers.'

But I didn't buy a brick, and I didn't buy a phone advertised as working when it feels like it, I bought an UMI 'Super' phone does anything in the title suggest it should fail to function at will? That it should refuse to let you call your elderly parents when they are laying in a hospital bed to check that they are OK? That the company feels that for this amount of money its customers deserve less than the promises they made ? Where is it stated that the nationality of the phone manufacturer dictates  the phone is no longer subject to the same expectations as its advertising claims?
Also you would be wise to acknowledge that more than 80% of mobile phones in the world today are made in China, or are 'China phones'
Your argument is invalid!

Erm, does german car sound racist to you also? What about French Fries? How the hell can "China Phone" be racist? It is a Phone frome China!?
Everybody with a common sense did know what the wording China Phone means.
As you bought your cheap phone from a chinese company that has spelling misstakes even in the headlines of the advertising and you paid less than a third oft the price oft an iPhone, have you axpected a high End Smartphone with best quality available, with 24/7 customer support and 2 years oft warranty? Why do you think these phones are so cheap? Because the people at Umi are so nice?
Is this your first phone From a non global chinese brand?
Umi has a support forum, they have OTAs... That is absolutely awesome!
If you dont want bugs and personal support, get an Apple, HTC, Samsung, or maybe at least an Honor.
