This is an official update from UMI for their eMax Mini right? I'm just wondering because I don't want to flash firmware intended for another brand of phone...

Is there such thing as Samsung support?
Sure they release updates, but they are all full of samsung crap softwares. what everyone is asking here is actually extra things, custom roms, etc, which, even for other brands are not offered by the manufacturer.The phone works great out of the box so we have to be grateful for the custom things that we get.
Get ahold of yourselves!!!

For other features we just have to be patient.

Hi there!

Thanks for the help. However when trying to use this tool I get the Error code 40016 every time. The problem is that after rebooting Wifi is not turning ON, power off and reboot take forever (I haven't had the patience of waiting more than 5 minutes!) and android setting doesn't work properly neither (probably there will be other issues that I have not encountered).

I have tried also with the Unbrick thread that has a previous version of this tool with the same result.

I'm running the tool in a 32bit Windows 7 Ultimate.

Any help or suggestion is welcomed!!!!

It seems the users are left to themselves by UMI - as I see only users are developing.
This UMI blog also does not seem to be really alive - where are the UMI-promised RON updates to 5.1 etc.
not to mention compatible root -joy etc, refer to long unsolved issues.
Need ROM has practically nothing.

Hi,

I suggest you to install a 64-bit Windows version. There's no reason to run a 32-bit OS nowadays. The 32-bit drivers might have issues. Both flasher packages were tested many time and work properly on 64-bit systems.

Hello, I won this phone from a UMI contest. I have many problems with the Stock ROM... The speaker is very loud even at the lowest level, no Greek language and the worst of all is that the Games lag!!! Yes, the Need For Speed No Limits plays with 5-10 fps!! I have lag with other games too...

I want to update this bad ROM, but I don't know how... This is my first Qualcomm phone, I only had MTK's until now and I only know to use the Flash Tool. Can anyone give me more analytical steps on how to install this new ROM? Or maybe a video link? Thanks...

Hi,

If you successfully connected your phone in QDLoader mode (that's a bit tricky but I wrote a guide for that) and started the flash tool application, you just have to click on the Download button and then OK if it asks something. I don't know how (and why) should it be explained more analytically.
No sound issues and NFS No Limits runs with 20-40 fps at me (smoothly playable) and the Greek language is available.
