UMIDIGI Z2 major issue.

Any news about a fix for the screen rotation ? Also, pedometer apps are not working, I don't know if the 2 issues are related ?
And is there a plan to update to Android 9 ?

Yeah, I too am not sure if it is a mechanical problem.  The only reason I was thinking that was because it does seem to focus O.K. on anything closer than 3 feet (and I have read posts about other UMIDIGI phones that had problems with the lens covers blocking the lens from focusing properly).  But the problem does seem to have coincided with the last software update (v_1.0_20180622_20180829-1744)

There is no OTA update for the moment.

I don't know were the Admin guys are getting their information, but I've contacted Umidigi by Facebook Messenger, and they told me directly that no OTA update was released for the Original version since the 29/08 one.

I've re-sended the problems I had, and they told me that a new release would include the corrections ASAP, but without any timeline.

The last 2 releases that were available on the Z2 Original ROM page were published by mistake because they were for the Z2 Upgraded.

Hey anyone help me. None of the notifications is displayed from many third party apps. I even disabled Standby-intelligent Power Save Mode in Battery Settings & also disabled Power Save Manager in Smart Assistant Settings too. Also there is no inbuilt app for viewing photos. No Good File Manager nor Music Player. I think i made a mistake buying this phone from a Non-Reputed Company. Shit

I have just carried out the latest wireless update and my home, back and task button which were a circle, triangle and a square are now 3 straight lines at the bottom of the screen and I dont like it!
See attached screenshot.

Can anyone advise how I change back please?

Sorry everyone! I've fixed it! Smart Assistant > Buttons > Slipper Gesture (off)

For some reason the update changed this feature that i dodnt even know about!
