man, until today they don't solved the bug of slow charging and the ghost finger print and it seems that they won't do it, although that Quantum (brazilian company of smartphones) just released a device with the same processor and promessed the update to Android 8. I'm using the last rom of android 6, disabled the fingerprint scan, unfortunately the device have it but is unusable.

The guy was asking if charging and ghost finger print bugs are solved in this latest rom.

Oddly, but the fingerprint sensor worked a little better in Beta version of Android 7, at least that's what I felt. But every version is OK. I can't give you a straight answer, because every phone is different, as I've noticed. So, I suggest you upgrade to the latest, this one in this thread. The fingerprint is very sensitive to moisture. For example, I tend to have sweaty palms and when I touch the sensor, it gives me a lot of feedbacks and tries to unlock after I lock the phone. The key is to keep the sensor clean and as much dry as possible. The only reasons for which I've got back to 6.0 were very long charging time (sometimes even 7-8 hours) and rapidly draining battery.

A huge bluetooth security hole: CVE-2017-0781, CVE-2017-0782, CVE-2017-0783, CVE-2017-0785
I know, this one year old phone is "very-very-very old" for Umi, but I would like to know can we hope for a fix for this issue?

UMi MAX will probably not receive any more updates. For phobic people it's better to always buy the latest smartphones. As Google reported, the August security patch fixes this (anyway quite theoretical) vulnerability.

There is no need for any update, my phone is a year old, so it's time for a new one. Actually, the last ROM has something mistaken, when I turn off Intelligent power saving standby option in battery settings, I manage to do 2 days with no recharging. Well, with android 6, it was easy to get 3 days, but who cares.
Fairly, this is not the main problem for me. The main one is the weight and the size of the phone, I tried for a year to get with it, no chance. Too big and way too heavy, almost impossible to wear it in your pocket.

Ha ha, I know what you are saying. Because of this phone's weight, I dropped it at least 10 times in a year since I got it.

Umidigi takes a year trying to solve the bugs of this device, so, they can't, they give up and say to you to "buy a new phone"....  Of course I'll do it, but it will not be a Umidigi, for sure.

HELP!!!  What's the solution for BROM ERROR : STATUS_BROM_CMD_STARTCMD_FAIL (0xC0060001) and a now dead phone? I have done this a million times, with a million phones and this has never happened. What do I do?
Right before this happened Everything crashed when i turned on my phone, but i had just rooted it so i thought i would flash the stock recovery see if it changed anything. That's when it happened.

Btw I think UMI owes everyone a new non-buggy phone, ffs! Phones arent supposed to have THIS many problems that WE have to try fixing, ok?

-------EDIT------

ok so, as if by magic i managed to save my phone in its current state. but sadly, it IS in its ccurrent state, meaning that every time i turn it on every app i have crashes and i cant open ANY app, and basically cant do much with my phone since i have to press "close app" every 2 milliseconds. >

The fingerprint scanner works like a charm though.....

This happens, from what I've noticed, because of faulty flash. Try flashing again in firmware upgrade mode.

Hi. Can anyone help me with the bluetooth? It keeps connecting and disconnecting with my smartwatch. The watch is working fine with a Samsung Galaxy J500FN, but with my Max it keeps doing that. Maybe some of you know a resolve, maybe some of the admins. Thanks in advance!
