I have with my new Umidigi Z Pro a problem, today I had it in the car in the hands-free kit and presumably by solar irradiation burst the back-lit camera lens.
I can exclude foreign influence, the crack also looks like a typical tension crack.
What can I do, is it a known mistake?
Where can I find a suitable spare part and a repair manual?
Is there a service partner in Germany?
Replacing the camera lens is very easy, I never had any disassembly experience before.. I happened to have a "Dead" umi z pro which I now use for spare parts. So I took the lens cover from it.
Unscrew the 2 screws at the bottom (5 point iphone screws?) most kits have this in it. Also remove sim tray
Then use a suction cup around the bottom to "pull" the screen apart from the phone's body. No worries about connected ribon cables or anything. The whole case is free from the screen, only held together by the screws, sim tray en a few "dovetails" around the phone (clicky things)
After that, you can push the lens out from the inside (it is held together by a thin line of adhesive.
One could wonder if its possible to "pull out" the lens cover too! If you can manage to find something small enough. Also, the lens cover is the entire purtruding thing on the back, its not just glass. So it's the frame+glass. Maybe you could pick it out of its place with a toothpick
AliExpress has a seller providing a protector for the lens cover. Not really cheap but may be worthwhile. It's a nano film thingy.. About 2USD a piece.
