Umi Z fast charging?!...

The Umi Z should be charged to 100% in 100 min. (that's what Umi tells us...)
My Umi Z has 15%, it's now for 2 hours in the charger and it's still not charged... ( it's on 58%)
AND DON'T TELL ME I USE THE WRONG CHARGER!!!! I use the default charger and cable you get with it....
So much lies that UmiDigi tells us...

My reading is the same - 1720mA which is about the maximum limit of the charger up to 9V.This reading has been done at about 70% of the battery charged.
The question is if the charger uses 12V charging voltage at all?

I tested my Umi z this morning. I turned the phone off to make sure that there is no consumption at all and the result is really horrible.
It took exactly 2 hours and 24 minutes to fully charged from 0 to 100 and unfortunately, I can use it for less than a day in normal usage.
what makes me disappointed about Umi is that they are releasing new videos reviewing their phone with imaginable features (at the moment) and not commenting on this serious issue (which consequently causes swelling problems) to reassure its customers.
I hope this is a software issue and Umi can be fixed in the near future. Otherwise, farewell Umi forever.

I have the same issue, it charge very slow, and it only last for 3-4 hours....
Umi is just a f*#&ng scam company... SHAME UMI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YES, Umi Z really Slow charging (Take 2 hours 20 minutes for fully charge from 5% to 100% ) .....  My Letv 2, fully charge in 1 hour 20 minutes , From 1% to 100%.

Guys I tested it on my phone and got full charge from 30% in approximately 85 minutes. Did you try it with a different cable/adapter with similar specs?

I have purchased an additional original UMI Z charger but in white color together with a different USB C cable (5V/2.4A).
The charging time remained the same. Slow.
I do not want to by an additional charger anymore since I expect from these original ones (including the UMI Z phone itself) to work as advertised which is not the case.
Also, advising a purchase of other charger than the original one may introduce the additional troubles and voidance of the warranty.

I think a lot of people have that issue, it's just a lie of Umi...

Guys I looked at the pump charge technology and basically the whole charging process is controlled by the circuitry in the phone. I believe it checks parameters of the energy input and the battery stats - thermals, capacity etc. and manages the charging current appropriately. If the pump charge doen´t work irt could be problem with the charger or cable, problem within the charging circuit, or a problem with battery. It might be a defective batch of batteries, that would also explain the battery swelling that is present in some of the devices.
Not every UMI Z is affected, I got the phone just recently and I believe it is from the later batch (I had an updated FW on it from the factory) so as far as I tested the pump charge is working and the phone is usually fully charged within 100 minutes.

In the Umi Z service menu  *#*#33#*#*is an option to check battery stats and thermals. You could check it while it is on battery and during charging process. Also I believe there are some apps that can measure the charging current as well as provide battery stats during charge. If something is off you can RMA the phone.
