Fast Charge ? - SOLVED

Hello , I am a new owner of Umi Plus E ,

I Could not Fast charge in anyway.

I use the original Cable , and i have also tried Other Type-C ( Fastcharge Capaple ) Cable.

It is updated at the last rom available (20170216).

What am i doing wrong ?

Hi,
Since the UMi Plus E has a longer than standard USB Type-C plug, you have to use the original cable or something else with a such longer plug like this one: https://goo.gl/sX3mMI
Fast (12V) charging needs proper connection, so you have to push the plug until it clicks in and you cannot see the metallic part of the type-C plug.

Problem , mostly solved , as when i used my old 2.0 amp charger , the phone charges as fast as you mention above ( about 2 hours for full charge ) , and about 30 minutes for one day use.
So as far it is a charger problem i am much happier. ( it says USB charging with the original charger )

P.S. My battery last between 3 and 5 days, with high usage. ( gaming lots of talk , 4G , wiffi e.t.c. )

How do you know that the fast charging is not working? First few charging of umi plus E could take up to 3-4 hours. Then around 2 H.
There is no option to activated or deactivated fast charging so fast charging is working all the time.

I guess it is not working, because it takes approximately 7 hours to fully charge ( 100% ).

That was the second time i charge so i will check the next charges and i will keep informed.

The good thing is that it lasts for 3-4 days , with medium use ( few games, wifii , 3G, lots of calls ).

But it is annoying to know that you bought a phone that claims it will charge 50% in half hour, and that is very far from reality....

Full charge should take place in 1h and 40 min  to 2h. (of course after few full charging circuits)
Please try other usb cable if you have.

I have both the Umi Super and Plus E.  
With the Super, the charging lead fits snug and fast charge every time, but the Plus E is wobbly with the same lead and is more like a USB charge time.

Put the lead from the Plus E in and it fits slightly better and if you push/press you can get a fast charge.

Its hardware , not software. Plus E port is poor compared to the Super, and to be honest I prefer the Super all round. Cracking phone.

This what you can try... It worked for me.

With the original cable and charging brick. Make sure the cable is plugged all the way up to port of phone tilll you hear it snap in.

I was not doign thast ebfore because i was afraid to damage my new phone.

Try it and see.
