Hello, I was thinking about purchasing a Umi Z Pro phone, but after reading some of the posts here I am a little baffled by the apparently low quality control performed by UMI. I mean some users seem to have perfectly working phones and others are plagued by various bugs.
Sametime, I know that happy users tend not to post in forums because they are, well, happy
So the reason for this thread: can I have some feedback, should I buy or not a UMI Z Pro?

I'd recommend to wait a while until UMI fixes the bigger bugs (for me: battery drain & bluetooth).
Then I think it's a really nice device with a great design and casing. Will definitely use my UMI Z a while until buying a new phone...

I want to purchase a Z or possibly the Z Pro but I have two MAJOR issues I'd like comfort on before I do:-

1. I purchased a Plus for my son and he's had a terrible experience with it.  The screen literally came off the phone (it started with a small gap appearing on the top left but soon expanded so the whole left side of the screen could be lifted 1cm off the body of the phone), and before that there were battery issues (not fully charging no matter how long it was plugged in) and various software bugs like factory resetting after a normal power off.  Have UMi addressed these physical build and software issues in the Z / Z Pro models?

2. The GPS performance in the Plus was simply shocking.  Will the new chipset in the Z / Z Pro perform to an acceptable standard that will allow reliable navigation using Google Maps etc?

I will wait until the Android 7 update comes and will see if they improved both cameras (Bad quality at low light and very dark when using 3rd party apps like Skype or Messenger etc. Very slow photo capture (3 seconds)) and LTE connection loss problems.

I have an UMI Z since two weeks ago more or less.

For the first point, for the moment no problems.

For the second points, the GPS is good. You can use if perfectly. My last phone was a Galaxy S4 and the GPS was very very good. If the score for GPS for Galaxy S4 was 10, for UMI Z is 8,5.

Well that didn't go well.  Set everything up the way I want, installed a 128gb SD card and transferred loads of content etc and then just after I finished the phone was knocked off the table and the screen smashed to pieces.  I can still see the home screen and the home button works but the touch screen doesn't.

Completely depressed
