Edited by flither at 2016-12-28 06:13 \n\nSo I'm here not to complain, cause I have no reason to complain for the money I paid. My Umi Super is perfect (maybe I'm lucky), everything works perfectly after 3 months of usage. GPS, WiFi, battery, fingertips scanner and everything else is great. The screen quality is magnificent, and it's perfectly responsive, except one little thing - on solid grey or orange backgrounds I can see something like a rectangle shadow on the screen. I know it's probably a glue used to join the LCD and digitizer, but it's hardly visible. But for £150? I feel like a thief ;) And it's not the advertisement, I'm not in connection with anyone from UmiDigi.
Tell me what else you think is above the average in this phone

And I still haven't received a penny from Umi. The screens quality is one of the best I've seen so far in any phone (after some tweaks). Thanks...Sharp
So now I've got a perfect beast for £150, forgetting the camera ;)
Thanks Umi

I am another satisfied user (3 months) - GPS works as expected, screen is excellent, battery OK, Audio using headphones and Rocket Player is excellent (in-built speakers are weak but I'm old-fashioned and choose not to annoy everyone about me anyway).
The Camera- well it's not quite what the advertising claims but is adequate.
It has quirks in usage but so did my previous phone, the Samsung s3, which cost a whole lot more.

Edited by flither at 2016-12-30 22:18 \n\nPeople would even complain if they paid 50 bucks for it. Just for half of price of Umi Super you gonna get unbelievably shitty phones, you pay 80 bucks more and you've got a phone you can be happy about, at least I am. If Umidigi gonna learn on it's small mistakes, next years Umi flagships gonna shake the market, I'm telling ya

Agree. When it comes to bang for bucks, the Super is hard to beat. However, judging by all complaints, there seems like individual phones have problems (mine is 100% OK) which suggests UMi should step up on their QC department.
But then again - When you buy electronics from China with (potentially) unbelievably good specs for an unbelievably low price, you may as well end up with a lemon. It's a risk you take, and it's hard to get compensation if what you buy doesn't live up to the hype (or your expectations). You are basically on your own (with the help of the "community" like this forum, or XDA) if you run into problems. If that's not your cup of tea, I suggest buying brand electronics over the counter so you can stroll back down to the shop, bark at the clerk and demand a refund.
Now, to me, UMi Super more than lives up to my expectations, so this is just a rant on buying stuff from China in general.

The bang for bucks ratio is very high no doubt in that. Mine works OK except the fingerprint sensor and some.minor issues with the touch screen. With a little bit improvement on the software side it has the potential to be a super device.

If you haven't had high expectations you would not be disappointed. For the money paid you get quite a lot and for most users the super will be a perfect phone. Personally I feel like someone made a fool of myself. I was promised top notch camera and didn't get even half decent one. If umi said the camera is as it really is I would never bought the. Other Chinese phones somehow offer nice cameras. Other features are very good (apart of GPS) I like the screen, fingerprint scanner, etc. I didn't plan it but will need to replace it soon with something else with better camera. Disappointed.

Edited by flither at 2017-1-3 00:33 \n\n...and just after I started this thread the screen just went to normal, the rectangle shadow on solid backgrounds just dissapeared in couple of days, after 3 months, magic
