Problem with UMI Diamond display

After only few days of use I saw this spot on display (it is NOT from greasy fingers or some kind of dirt)

Very disapointing.

By my opinion this looks as hardware issue.
You need contact reseller for warranty.

Yes, it is a hardware issue, and a reseller is in a China (Banggood), so it will be a pain in the ass.

What is worse, it was a present for my son, and I will have hard time to explain him that his brand new phone has
problem with display (he will be very disappointed - and I would like to avoid this).

Only what I can say sorry for any inconvenience.
That really I can't do nothing with this as warranty is out my control.
I had very similar issue in other brand and I know that this brighter colour dot is only showing on white colour and believe me this will not get bigger /worse.

thank you anyway, if I will send back phone to BG, it will past at least 3 months to get it back (aprox travelling time from my country to China, and back), and during this time he will have to stay without his phone. I am not able to disappoint him. But soar taste, and disappointing is present as this is brand new phone.

As I also have brand new UMI Super, I hope that I will not have problems with this phone like I have with Diamond, or problems what other people described in UMI Super part of forum.

HiI using Umi super my self as everyday smartphone and I never faced any GPS, WiFi, 4G fault. Only latest update caused in my device weak response from touch screen so I decide to come back to older version of firmware 20160708.
Battery is lasting 2 days including 8 -  10 hours of screen on with sim data on all the time.
Camera is good enough for me. Definitely latest stock camera app is making better pictures better focusing on whole size of picture. (I comparing to other Chinese brands)
Everything else is working OK.
About your Diamond you can try remove battery (if is removable) from phone to shut down all hardware and maybe some pixels recover.
Another thin is order new screen when will be available. I presume that screen unit will be available in few months time and price could be between €40 to €50.
