Connecting UMI Plus to PC. it just wont.....

Hi, I've attempted to connect my new UMI Plus to two different PC's and neither will see it, is there anything I have to do on the phone (USB debugging it turned on).  I have downloaded and installed every driver I can find via the power Google, but still nothing.

So, a little bit of success, I installed the Microsoft Windows Media Feature Pack and now the PC at least makes some noise when the phone is plugged in   , and the phone see's a PC connected and gives me the option to change from Charging to MTP etc, but I'm still not see a device in device manager....

So any update, a replacement cable did the trick.  Order a couple of these cables (Original SAUFII USB Type C cable) and my phone can now see my PC.  Cant believe that the supplied cable didn't work, very poor on UMI's part!!!
