I tried several times to install microsoft's new word/excel/powerpoint. Everytime I install it, it says "installed", but when I try to open the apps, they immediately crash. When I reboot my device the apps are gone... Any idea on the problem?

That's strange.. you could try and clear the cache out on the google play store and try to download again .

settings>apps> google play store

then click on storage, and clear cache to see if that works.

Dear mdebouw,

Some apps cannot run properly if you install them on the external SD card (if you've formatted your SD card as internal storage). The MS Office apps are such ones. Format your SD card as portable storage, then reinstall your apps. Just moving them to the internal storage is not enough.

Regards,
Bence

You can move the apps from the SD card to the internal storage before formatting.
1. Go to Settings --> Storage & USB --> Internal storage
2. Tap the 3-dot menu button at the upper right corner and choose Migrate data, then Move.
