Audio jack issue

Few days ago my Umi Touch started to act a bit wierd. I'm using my phone as a portable music player in my car - I'm connecting to radio as Aux via audio jack. Everything is oke when the engine is off. When I start the engine music gets paused and every time I what to start again it's playing less then 1 sec and it is pausing again. Icon of headphones is blinking all the time on the screen. I tested in two cars and I used three cables. What is the problem?

If you are turning your engine on and off there could be a power surge through the cable making your phone act weird.
I would try another phone to see if this has the same result ?  - You could also try a different app that plays music.
