The 4th OTA arrived for UMi TOUCH users

The 4th OTA for UMi TOUCH has just arrived in today.

We have been working closing with Mediatek to fix the well known bug from Android 6.

So this upgrade focus on fixing the Android 6.0 exiting bug as well as optimizing the high frequency usage scenarios for a better user experience.

Change log:

1、Solve the problem of WiFi connection：Repair WiFi temporarily dropped the case.

2、Solve the problem of touch screen：finger gestures on a touch screen  are  more efficient respose.

3、Optimized the camera: Activating camera could be more faster.

How to install via OTA?

Simply go to “Setting” -> “About phone” - > “Wireless update” - > “Check for updates” - > Update -> Done

For UMI! Today 18.05.2016r.w my UMI TOUCH there is a new update "UMI TOUCH.V3.03-20160510-162851 (59.84 MB). I started the installation by About phone" -> "Wireless update" -> "Check for updates" -> Update. the installation stops on the Android Recovery with the message: "Opening update package ... the update.zip is corrupted. Installation aborted. OTA failed! Please power off the device to keep it in this state and file a bug report!  And what's next?

You can try again, redownloading the update (it worked for me, why shouldn't it work for you ?)

I tried several times in the network wifi 2.4GHz and 5GHz all attempts ended in failure

I have last update from 15.05 (already installed). There is no any other updates.

The update was successful! After disconnecting the SD Memory Card - apparently my card is damaged. Regards

It is known, that the sd card can cause issues when upgrading, so if update fails first try to unmount the sd card. I had the same issue, without any SD Card. For my part, I solved the issue be reflashing the current rom, without the userdata partition. Then the update worked just fine.

I unmounted my sdcard before updating, but unfortunately it can't be accessed any longer.
The previous update (0423) went well.
Is the sdcard actual damaged or is it a filesystem/partition type change ?
In Ubuntu it's now listed with type unknown, maybe change the type back to fat32 ?

You should be able to format your SD card with the phone. Remove and reinstall your card (when the phone is powered off) and try again.

I have some issue with 4G for the operator 3 ITA. the phone is working well with 3G but never goes to 4G.
the frequencies are compatible but still not see them,if you go from low signal area to another one, you should search the phone line again.
other problem I have is the wifi is dropping down, and the frontal camera is giving red more then the other colors.  Any user with the same?
