Umi Touch screen Sensitivity and Speaker/Phone Qulaity

Hi,

I have got a new UMi Touch phone 2 days back. Its a Good phone but the Touch Sensitivity is Aweful. Message typing is pain and even after using swift key I am unable to get the correct word. This needs to be sorted if the phone needs to get any better.

Also, the call quality is too bad. Can't hear a bit in the loud Speaker/Phone Speaker. Is this a problem with my phone or with all the phones?

The touch screen sensibility will be tuned in later updates. Until that, you can make some improvements with SGS Touchscreen Booster
I suggest you to apply the values shown by the attached screenshot.



Anand, did you adjust the volume of the loud speaker while making a phone call? If yes but you still can't hear the other party, then you might have a specific hardware defection of the loud speaker. Your phone should be examined by a repairman or you should contact your reseller.

Regarding the touch sensitivity - it feels like the issue is when pressing a small area on the screen, like typing a message. When swyping or scrolling it is fine.

I guess the thick layer of the Gorilla Glass 3 screen reduces the sensibility of the touch panel due to the greater distance between your finger and the touch sensitive matrix. An extremely dry skin on your fingers also can be the source of a such issue. At least this application makes it a little bit better.

After 48h with the mobile, yes I am afraid that the screen lacks a bit of sensitivity, and it's really annoying when writing; I tried the SGS application, and it's helping a bit but not the needed amount to stop being annoyed completely  by this problem.

So let's see the next SW iterations how it will be but  I have faith   

About the call/speaker/microphone quality  nothing to complain about, I hear and I am being heard much better than my previous phone.

After using it for few hours i came to know the screen lacks a bit of sensitivity, really annoying when writing; I tried the SGS application, it seems to be same. I have tried the above settings. Disappointed with the touch screen.
