UMIDIGI S3 Pro photo samples, short analysis and comparison with Canon EOS 5DS R professional DSLR camera
First of all here come some full resolution 48MP photos taken with a UMIDIGI S3 Pro. You can zoom in by clicking on a photo and using your mouse wheel, or you can download any of the original photos HERE to check the Exif data inside or to open them with your own photo viewer app.
Let's take a closer look on two small areas of the first photo. The first slices are cropped from the full 48MP image, the second from 24MP and the last ones are from 12MP. Find the differences in details at the edges (fragmantations) and at lighter or darker spots. Click and zoom in to the same size to see the differences.

Ok, these are real 48MP photos but maybe you expected clearer lines and less graininess. So let's compare the results with some photos taken with a professional 50MP DSLR camera, the Canon EOS 5DS R. Not a new model but it (only the body without lens) still costs $3,699 on https://shop.usa.canon.com

You can see serious chromatic abberation at the edge of the gray roof and overall slurred pixels that is not present on the S3 Pro photos. The result of a ''cheap'' lens.

Thanks to the very high quality camera lens, you can see zero chromatic abberation and as many details as possible but almost the same level of graininess is still present.
Let's take a look at the S3 Pro cropped image again to compare.

Not the same quality of course but now you can see how important is the quality of the camera lens. Since it's a mobile phone, the UMIDIGI S3 Pro still holds a peppercorn size camera lens on top of the SONY IMX586 sensor. The disadvantage of the very small size lens is the presence of fractured lines at pixel level but its advantage is the zero level of chromatic abberation.
Finally let's compare the details of some leaves.

The Canon EOS 5DS R photo is significantly softer but that depends on your taste which one you prefer. A sharper photo still can be photoshopped to softer while it doesn't work vice versa.
As you can see the UMIDIGI S3 Pro is capable of taking DSLR level photos in certain conditions but please do not forget: the personal skills, talent and practicing make the good photographer, not the hardware owned by. The S3 Pro is just an efficient weapon in your hands.
