No data connection on S2

I have just purchased an S2 and it will not use my data, so I can only connect to the internet via WiFi. It is set to roam, but when I check the SIM status it says it's not and there's no data access. Any ideas?

I dont know EE, is it also a company from a merger of 2 companies?
Did you try to switch Data Roaming on?

EE is the largest network in the UK. The Data Roaming is on but when I check the status of the sim it says it's not roaming or receiving data

Please place sim card to second slot. Also please check APN details (settings - more - mobile networks - access point namess)

I have 2 sims in, neither of which receive data. I have checked APN settings. What should they be in case I've made a mistake?

Make sure you copy all your data because you should use firmware upgrade option and this will wipe all your data from device.

SPFT? I have no idea what you're talking about. Wouldn't be easier for me to return the phone and you send me one that works??
