Please help nougat 7

I've just received my pro z, however it says my software is up to date, but its only reading 6.0?

How can I upgrade to nougat?

Look up your rom version, i heard some people have a version that's not supported anymore and thats why you can't see updates.

when that's the case you need to flash to a stockrom from this forum 6.x and then OTA update it to 7.x.
Recommended is to flash the latest version with the flashtool after you updated with OTA to 7.x

Because when you go from 6 -> 7 with flashtool you could lose your IMEI code or something.

Is this an older version?

Do you think it's worth Just sending the phone back and bring the z1 pro instead?  It just seemed slower so didn't bother.

I am sorry to tell you but all umi phones have a lack of stable roms. The devs create new buggs every update. Battery drains.. crashes etc etc. Search the forum.There is no source released so we can't use custom roms from better devs.

If you got a choise choose another brand like oneplus. Umi is good in advertisment etc but it aint what it seems.

Try to flash roms as i said. Should do the trick.. but all roms have buggs! Look on xda there is a rom from noa. Read that topi c

If you want update your phone to Android 7 you need check for OTA update (settings - about phone - wireless update - check for updates) or go here

and update your phone with OTA zip files (one by one starting from next higher build number than yours) as local update or use PC and SPFT to upgrade directly to latest available ROM as the clean installation.

I would advise you to do the following procedure before the installing the zip update:
factory format your phone;
install the zip;
wait for half an hour after it boots;
factory format it again;
Now you can use it.

It may save you from some crazy troubles.....

Thank you for your advice.
This solution may save us from new problems,
but it can not be that we have to make a factory reset every update.
I expect UMIDIGI to offer a solution.
