My diamond dual sime phone has lost it ring tone. I have recently only been using one sim card (in 2nd slot) could this be the cause. I have tried a number
of the ring tones in the phone with no result.

Hi again, sorry for keeping you hanging on. I'm always pretty busy and quite forgot to look into the forum.

You will probably not be successful with the original recovery system but will need to download and flash "TWRP Recovery". Once done, start it and press "wipe", there should be a submenu "advanced" or something similar in which you can tick the appropriate boxes. Do not wipe anything but cache and Dalvik cache as that would mean that you lose your data! My apologies that I cannot give you the exact expression but I'm German and so is the menu on my phone. If you should be unsure, Google is your friend, there are loads of links showing how to do the job. Just look for TWRP delete Dalvik cache. This, for instance, is very helpful.
All the stuff you need, you will find here together with very good detailed advice how to proceed.
Looks like you have never flashed a phone before, so let me say: It looks more complicated than it really is. The worst part of it is the installation of the mediatek drivers.

Good luck
Volker

Hi
No problem. You are right I have only flashed a phone once and ended with a chinese version OS.
However with your info I am sure I will manage with this one. What bothers me about this
transaction is that the Uk UMIDIGI dealer , fabebuying on ebay, and their HQ in China did
not reply to my emails for support. This is the second UMI I have purchased but will certainly
be the last.

Thanks for your help and your English is first class.
