Dear Umidigi,

I am very satisfied about my Z Pro.
I read a lot on the internet about the upcoming Androi 8.0 update and which phone will get the update.
What are your plans? Are we getting the update as well?
And for how long are you going to update your phones in general?

I hope to read your (positive) reaction soon.

Fred

for this android, umidigi must give us a 7.1.1 who works correctly. I don't think they have in progress to develop a 8.0. They just want to sail phones and phones....

Already from 6.0 to 7.1.1.....i think that's good enough for what I paid.. If I'm not happy with it after the upgrade of FW and there's no more support, I'll just ditch the phone.

I would gladly have 8.0 and that within a week than months waiting on a "official" good working 7.1.1
If it is so difficult to build a decent 7.1.1 release the f source code. Then your go from a good phone manufacturer with sloppy software to a perfect phone software included.

Such as umidigi, ulefone, elephone, zopo (etc.) do not usually exceed 1 upgrade update (from the 6th to the 7th in our case) and the Roms must already be stable. So plan 2 versions ahead of time ... it's science fiction.

I think that Umidigi is doing very good in trying out and developing all different types of phones.
That means that the phones internally must be much alike.
Therefore it must be possible to upgrade to the latest version of Android for at least two years.

And I think for a company that wants to play a bigger role in the mobile phone market, upgrades are very important to keep customers coming back and buy another phone.
The fact that the phones are cheaper than the flagship phones cannot play a role.
Most of the people buy a cheaper phone because they cannot afford a expensive one.

So Umidigi show that you can and give your customers at least two years of upgrades tot the most recent version of android.

Sounds like a good plan! No more whining about buggs.. just deliver us your hardware phone. And let us get proper software from Lineage etc.
