How can this be fixed?

Hi there. Could you please elaborate on your problem. The fingerprint sensor doesn´t work at all, or it works only sometimes? Can you use it to store the prints of your fingers? Does it work as a  home button as intended? What ROM do you use? Did you use OTA or SPFT release?

You can also try the service menu *#*#33#*#*, single test -> fingerprint. Eventually you could try to flash whole stock image of the latest ROM (SPFT) to rule out software issue.
If nothing else work it is probably a hardware problem and you should contact your seller for RMA.

Hi Finderprint sensor not working all time. There is information that the device is not active.

Just like Medard22 told you: Try to flash the latest version useing SP Flash Tool.
(http://community.umidigi.com/thread-7060-1-1.html This is not the latest version, but for me, it's the best one)

I agree with GamingMonster, it's the most stable version of the ROM.
