I bought an USB C-type flash drive, which is compatible with Android. When I insert it, the system recognizes the flash drive. From the notifications, I can go to folder structure, I can see the files there. However, neither the File Manager nor the ES File Explorer can recognize the drive.
Any idea what is wrong is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,
Any smartphones with MediaTek processor cannot handle the exFAT file system. Please format your flash drive to FAT32 under Windows.

Thanks for this info. I've been wondering why it keeps rejecting ExFat micro SDs and when reformatted by the phone, it  becomes VFat, aka FAT32.

In order to store files greater than 4GB, I had to use it as adaptive memory when it then becomes formatted as EXT 4. However this removed my dual SIM capability.

Learnt something. Thanks.
