I did that even before you suggesting it.
Android 7 works (badly).
Android 6 works with screen off ...

But do you remember with which firmware you got device?
Did you check all partitions in SPFT including user data and cache etc.
Maybe you should change firmware upgrade to format + download. And then firstly flash only preloader and then everything else. Of course I talking about Android 6.0.
After that you need use SN writer to rewrite IMEI numbers so please save somewhere your own IMEI numbers.
Please give me update.

I will try with format+download in the weekend.
Other idea I've got is maybe a zip version of Android 6 for recovery flash.

All the solutions u have proposed have not solved the problem .. There seems to be a manufacturing defect in some versions

Guys, I have the same problem, I waited 3 months for the cell phone to arrive from China to my home in Brazil and as soon as I called I did the update for 7 and it was like that with the black screen. I already tried to go back to 6 and continue the same problem. It's sad a reputable brand to do this with their customers.
Please, we need an urgent solution.

i also have the same problem obviously the new models have a different hardware does not have the display ... even if you replace it with a model with native android 6 the problem persists. my mum came with android 7 i'm looking for a method to run android 6 ... i'm a computer technician not a developer but if i find a method I will post it
