I bought the phone some time ago and just started using, have filled internal memory on phone so I then fitted a Samsung Pro 64GB which phone accepted. I then followed on screen prompts to mount, format and transfer files to SD card on new internal memory. After a few minutes transfer failed, retried without any success, then card disappeared off memory. Switched phone off removed card and started again. This time format reached 20% and stopped. Removed card and tried in PC and my PC said it was a 16MB card. Would not format. Tried a second card Sandisc 32GB, I got one step further, this time some music did transfer to card ok. Music played on phone OK, then without doing anything display icon said "new SD card detected" and phone wants me to start all over again which means fortmatting again which will delete music on card???.  Any Ideas you techies.

Hello Not all SD cards are the same, i am using 64 gigabite cards in my umi super and never had any problem waht so ever.
The cards i am using are Netac Pro 64 [3] cards orderded at gearbest and works perfectly.
Sd cards workd with certain protocols and not all cards have the same support for all protocols.
I am a audiophile and have a very expensive SD card Player and had the same problem that some brands did not work.
I mailed the builder of the SD card player and told me the player worked only with one sort of protocol ,so i bought anothet brand of cards
and the problems where gone, i tryed because of you`re problems a samsung sd card in my umi super and works also perferctly and had not problems at all. i could be a software bug or a hardware problem in you`re umi super because i tested a samsing card in my super and have no problems . Also there are fake imitation SD cards on the market, did you buy you`re SD cards at the same store? That also couild be the problem,That you`re samsung SD cards are not a original genuine ones but a fake clones. it happend to me that i received counterfit products.

Purchased another 64GB sd card today and phone has done the same again, go through format procedure and when complete tried to follow prompts to transfer data from internal memory to sd card and it says not enough memory. Checked cartd properties and it says card corrupt reformat. round and round in circles. Come to conclusion it's just a crap phone. Card I took out previously is now useless as it will not work in PC and will not reformat.

now i think i know the problem umi super is not supporting 64gb as internal shard storage, that make it not formatting it as 64gb when it say cant format sd restart the phone go to settings then storage you will see about 30gb as used then 32gb available for use, that mean as for internal share storage it only support 32gb as additional memories not 64gb. and you can format it as portable storage and get all 64gb.

The Supplier of phone advised me to upgrade software on phone via a specified link, this same link I found on forum. This upgraded phone to android 7. The phone does support SDXC cards which are 64GB. So I purchased another SD card at a cost of £29.95 from reputable source. fitted in phone and followed prompts to mount and format etc. Phone did that ok, spec on phone showed the increase of shared internal, everything looked fine. Left phone in office and when I returned to it several hours later, put code in and drop down bars indicated "new SD card" format required, I checked the phone spec and memory had altered and NO SD visible on phone or PC when I looked at phone properties. So I carried out instructions according to prompts on screen of phone and it did exactly as it did on previous cards, reformatted to a 16MB card. I am now waiting for supplier of phone to respond
