I received notification of a new Firmware Update V7.01 20170123, what is it? someone has installed?
The update indicates only system optimization and minor bug fixes, but weighs 1240 MB

So far the Android 7.0 FOTA upgrade seems to be working fine on my UMI Super. Upgraded yesterday.

Issues that have been fixed:

1. Most third party camera apps (Whatsapp, FV5, Messenger...) now render a bright and correct image as opposed to the dark
images rendered before. MAJOR IMPROVEMENT !!
2. LED notification light now works fine and changes color.
3. NEW battery percentage show up next to battery icon. GREAT !!
4. Improved call quality.
5. Much improved Doze handling of apps.

Some new issues with this upgrade:

1. Flashlight quick setting button does not work
2. Quick charging not working. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM !!
3. Battery draining much faster than with Marshmallow.

All applications installed seem to be running fine ( 109 apps on my Super ).
Quick charge not working is a major problem as phone may take up to 5 hours to fully charge. NO GOOD !!

I hope UMI are aware of these issues and will release a quick FOTA fix for charging problem.

Non funziona bene, spariti dei menù, ma soprattutto si scarica velocemente e per ricaricare la batteria ci vuole una VITA!!!!

Hi, the update (OTA) were noticed to me yesterday in the morning, Iwas exited cause iwas waiting it for a moment...
I accept it... fast download (thanks 4G), rapid flash and reboot and Tadaaa..... OMG !
The touch screen don't work it makes me fail the 3times pin code and lock my phone !
After some search on the net I find this ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dw57GBZhuwY ) and when I come back house I bought this adapter to unlock my sim phone whit puk code.
Then I download The old rom under android 6 and all works as before !!!
I'm going to be patient, and wait for more positive notes of the update of the UMI Super......
I like this phone.

My daughter has a UMI plus and her phone pass to android 7 fine !

That's the first version of the promised Nougat ROM. I've been running it for like month. Works well, but in general, and with Bluetooth on in particular, drains your battery much faster than Marshmallow. That, in combination with that fast charging doesn't work, has me thinking about downgrading. Hopefully there's a 2nd Nougat version not too far away, but who knows?

I did receive the notification to move a nougat of version 20170123.
it is runnng two days on nougat.
there is almost no problems except two case till now
1st : it seems not to recognise Sd card well
2nd : can't find Home menu in setting

battery is not bad though faster drain than a6
gps is better
bluetooth is fine
hotspot works well

I'm also thinking about to upgrade my phone to ..V7.. version, but as I see at forum it's like 50/50 that it will work :-)
Maybe it will be better to wait about one more month for more results from users or maybe a new version of OTA with new improvements?
It will be fine and we will really apreciate it, if you will write as much experiences with Nougat version as possible when you have upgraded.
I'm running latest ..V6.. and phone works well and that's what I need. After all, it depends if forum is visited just by people who have problems and major is satisfied or not..

OK then. I think I'll stick with 6 until I see a better consensus on 7, or another update that causes less problems.
