Hi, got my Umi iron today, and first thing to do was inserting sim1, but said no sim. then i try i try, no reason.then i put it into sim2 and it was working...but now i cant put sd card.

another thing, i phoned my friend but hardly hear anything...the sound is to low.

i wanted to try music quality, inserted the earphones, but the sound is always sizzling, very bad noise...Also at calls its problematic...

I cant believe how Umi producers dont try the hardware and software combination, if its all alright or not...

UMI tries to be a good and big brand but how? I use ZOPO 980 for 2 years now, it did never have such problems like that, never...

I am really pissed of...I also updated to 1.6 still same...

Hi mefail,

I am sorry to hear that you are having so many issues with your new handset. I can assure that UMI has quality control at different points along the assembly line. However with so many handsets being produced there will always be a few that develop an issue, sometimes this will happen during shipping or even during the normal lifetime of the device. This has nothing to do with poor quality control.

I would like to focus on your faulty SIM slot.
You mention that you tried your SIM-card in slot 2 and it was working. You have also upgraded to v1.6, which is great.
As a final test I would like to ask you if you could try another SIM-card in slot 1. Just to make sure that the issue is hardware based and not because of a faulty SIM.

If this still doesn't work then I suggest you contact your reseller and request a replacement.

I hope you get it sorted, but if you keep having issues then please let us know.

- quality control??? I see it in the bad audio quality and and and.... especially the wrong manufactured and not tested before selling it, flipcover.
Tell the customers better what you will do with the not working, but selled covers!
