agreed, for my money, while not supporting some of the more extreme rants against umi on this forum, there are one or two apologists for Umi burying their head in the sand, its clear from the delay since christmas eve that they must have known weeks in advance they were not going to make that deadline but utterly ignored keeping users informed
and while difficult to quantify it also seems obvious to me they have a serious quality control issue if they are looking to expand more formally into the western market, simply to many persistent problems across key functionalities on their phones, neither is it clear if this comes down to the software or hardware
i have seen this phone up for sale at £174 on one of the chinese sites, if you factor in what seems a high liklihood of getting a malfunctioning phone across one or more of its key functionalities that seems very overpriced to me, simply a risk not worth taking
if Umi can sort this out with the 7 upgrade i might revise my opinion, especially if they can improve their user communication, somehow i doubt it
