not true!
facebook and messenger consume lots of battery tho, but that is not the main reason, happened to me, updated to nougat 7.0, worked great for like two days, then battery draining started, also slow charging, tried to wipe/clean the rom, and still the same, downgraded to marshmallow and the slow charging was gone but battery draining still there, so i searched a lot on the internet, and found this exellent solution, that actually works ;-):

1) Install a Custom  Recovery like TWRP
2) Wipe Cache
3) Wipe Dalvik / ART Cache ----> This is the most important
4) Battery Started to ROCK again!! 7 hours Screen on Battery

I`m always get over 8hours of screen on time since i did all this. Take a look at my screenshoots!

[FAKE] It's impossible [FAKE]

and even in Nougat, that has the battery problem.

your battery indicator is wrong, take a screenshot of ur phone when you are at 10%-15%, just to see the results

Look man,i don`t wanna argue with you about this! And i really don`t care if you belive me or not! I don`t have any reason to lie here. Nothing is fake!! And the battery indicator works fine! Like i said iget over 8 Hours of Screen On Time! Now i`m at 44% and trust me for the last past hour i have kept the phone on for facebook, web, and here are the screenshoots! I`ll post one, when i reach 8 hours of S.O.T.

This is my last post in this topic!! I`m saying again,i don`t need anybody to belive me,but i don`t have any reason to lie about Umi Plus Phone! I have used Android since 2010,and i know when the indicator of the baterry is reporting false information,so if someone belives me is ok,if not also ok! I don`t have to explain nothing to nobody. Everyone can belive what he wants! I just have a very good battery, well calibrated and a good optimised system. And btw, this phone works perfectly,i don`t have any problems with it! No camera,no gps,no signal,no battery problems!!
So bellow are my screenshoots with 15% of battery!
That`s it! I will not post again in this topic!

Good for you, Alecs, but NO FOR ME.

I don't need to lie, either.

I spent the first months enjoying a 20-25% battery consumption each 24h. It was amazing and I was really happy with it.
After the N update, my battery goes down reaching even more than 50% in 24h.
Surprisingly, the screen is having a high consumption WHILE IN SUSPENSION/REST MODE.
But the more stunning thing is that two particular processes got the highest energy consumption: OS ANDROID and SYSTEM ANDROID
What the hell is the phone doing secretly???? What are those processes? With MArshmallow I never saw any of these. Consumption was mainly screen and wifi.

If this version had solved the PROBLEMS my screen was showing (for example, IRREGULAR/FAIL AUTO-BRIGHT CORRECTION), then I would understand, but NO. The same old problems, less than half battery life.

Congrats Alecs if your phone is right. I had to do a HARD RESET because during the FIRST UPDATE the screen kept on the "REBOOTING" message. The GPS is THE WORST I'VE SEEN, and the light sensor which supposedly controls the auto-bright correction IS NON-EXISTANT. The camera was supposed to be good. "Supposed" is the word.
I came to this UMi tired of Samsung, but fuck, now I think it wasn't so bad, and that is lame, because I really got annoyed at apps crashing constantly.
I bought this UMi during September's Presale, and I thought I was getting a high-spec machine. Now I see it's a "in name opnly" high spec cheap phone (not so cheap when it's working so badly).
Unless I see serious efforts to improve the performance, I don't think I'll fall again.

I just got the UMI Plus here in Kenya; got it with Android 6, upgraded immediately to 7.0 and I am having a very bad experience.
When battery is at 30% and below, it discharges withing 2-3 minutes to 0% then shuts down!
Even when the battery is at 3% and i plug it in, it wont keep the phone ON! Have to wait when off to at least have 5% to be able to turn it on.
This is very scary and hard to understand. Unfortunately it isnt battery calibration because even charging would improve or keep the phone ON.
UMIDIGI should respond to these and many queries about battery draining.
Otherwise the phone is impressive when everything works well
