Good for you, Alecs, but NO FOR ME.
I don't need to lie, either.
I spent the first months enjoying a 20-25% battery consumption each 24h. It was amazing and I was really happy with it.
After the N update, my battery goes down reaching even more than 50% in 24h.
Surprisingly, the screen is having a high consumption WHILE IN SUSPENSION/REST MODE.
But the more stunning thing is that two particular processes got the highest energy consumption: OS ANDROID and SYSTEM ANDROID
What the hell is the phone doing secretly???? What are those processes? With MArshmallow I never saw any of these. Consumption was mainly screen and wifi.
If this version had solved the PROBLEMS my screen was showing (for example, IRREGULAR/FAIL AUTO-BRIGHT CORRECTION), then I would understand, but NO. The same old problems, less than half battery life.
Congrats Alecs if your phone is right. I had to do a HARD RESET because during the FIRST UPDATE the screen kept on the "REBOOTING" message. The GPS is THE WORST I'VE SEEN, and the light sensor which supposedly controls the auto-bright correction IS NON-EXISTANT. The camera was supposed to be good. "Supposed" is the word.
I came to this UMi tired of Samsung, but fuck, now I think it wasn't so bad, and that is lame, because I really got annoyed at apps crashing constantly.
I bought this UMi during September's Presale, and I thought I was getting a high-spec machine. Now I see it's a "in name opnly" high spec cheap phone (not so cheap when it's working so badly).
Unless I see serious efforts to improve the performance, I don't think I'll fall again. |
