hi naughtykain,
sent it back to the factory. Definitely too hard to figure out the screen problem.
In my opinion, to be honest, UMI phones are actually cool, and they have nice hardware as well, but they definitely need to work better on product quality and customer support. After one week, except for the screen that I suppose is something related to an hardware trouble, I still found several troubles to put on evidence.
Charger is one of them, for instance. Fast charge is a dream, at least in my experience, phone was never able to charge before 3 and a half hours, and also the quality of the cable plug is really low.. any unexpevted movement is enought to unplug cable from device.
Also, camera is something that needs to be further developed. Picture quality is good if there is enough light, but if not, or if you are simply recording a video, focus and shutter are really slow, and it takes lot to be adjusted.
The screen himself is good, not such a difference between automatic and manual brightness adjustment, but it has a good oleophobic level, and it is clearly readable also under direct sun, definitely (without the problem I experienced) one of the best screen I've seen so far.
Audio is not as expected. Strong enough, but sstill too much "metalic". that case I think that probably a better speaker will be jelpfull (and very appreciated).
As par the processor/ram, nothing to say. It stays up to the top level phone, witouht fearing any comparison.
Still think they have huge potential, but they need to invest more in debugging...
Probably I will suggest to introduce less new devices, and to better follow the one they've released on market, but it is only my opinion.
At the moment, even if you payed few, they don't worth the investement if your device isn't usable, and I fell very upset for that because I really like thsi brand.
