screen cracked what do I do and why did it crack

I got a UMI Super for Christmasa little over a week age and I really like it a lot but two mornings agoI picked it up by a corner and the screen cracked on that corner while I was tapping on the screen trying to get the phone to do something the screen cracked on the other end. I read that the screen was some of the best on the market so what happened. I have seen thin sheets of hard candy that was stronger and i have seen cheep phones that had bad cracked screensthat you could barlly see and you could still make at least a phone call. Swhat is wrong with the screen.

Hi, first of all you should contact your seller and see if they can fix or replace your phone, if not you can order a new screen online and replace it yourself by following these steps: https://youtu.be/l_VMcIX0hJY or you can take your phone and the new screen to a phone repair specalist. As umi super using OGS glass after cracked screen there could be no response from screen depends where is crack and where is digitizer wire.
On this link you can check where to buy and how replace screen. This thread was open for umi max but umi max and Super using same screens so don't worry about other name.
